Duplicating a Page

You can make a copy of any page that is not currently open in the Page Layout Editor. You use the Copy button (or command) to copy the page and then use the Paste button (or command) to paste the new copy of the page into the project.

Duplicating pages is particularly helpful when you want to create a group of pages that share one or more common characteristics. For example, perhaps they all need to have one or more properties, such as BackgroundPage, that are the same. The first step in duplicating a page is to copy it to the Clipboard.

To copy a page:

1. Make sure the page is not currently open in the Page Layout Editor.

2. In the Project window, select the page you want to copy.

3. Choose Copy from the Edit menu, press Ctrl + C, or click on the Copy button.

The selected page is copied and stored on the Clipboard. The second step in duplicating a page is to paste it from the Clipboard into the Project window.

To paste a page:

A copy of the object that is stored on the Clipboard is pasted at the end of the page list. This page is also selected.
